For over 50 years
MWP Care Limited (formerly MWP Community Aid) has provided a range of support services to assist both aged residents and those with disabilities on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore, who cannot manage alone, to remain in their own homes and be as independent as possible.
MWP Care is committed to ensuring that we offer high quality services at a fair price to our local community. Clients are asked to contribute towards the cost of these services.
Our story begins in 1966 when a small group of Collaroy residents banded together to provide support to their aged neighbours.
Volunteering their services to assist with transport, shopping, getting to medical & other appointments, this small group of volunteers founded what is now MWP Care Limited in 1967.
Their ingenuity and foresight formed the basis for what has evolved into the support services that MWP Care now provide to your local community on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, as well as the Northern Sydney Metropolitan Region.
Registered as a Charity in 1984, MWP Care is a not-for-profit organisation funded essentially by the Australian Government Department of Health through the Commonwealth Home Support Program.
MWP Care has recently updated its vision statement.
The new vision statement focuses on four key values expressed through the acronym C.A.R.E – Collaboration, Agility, Respect and Excellence. These values will help guide MWP Care’s activities ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered to our clients.
Building Independence. Creating Connections.
